ROBO-SOCCER (RULES)
Rules
and Regulations-
Team member:-
1- A team consists of two-three members.
Each team must have a captain. The captain is the
person responsible for communication with referees.
The team can replace its captain during the
competition. Team is allowed to have only the fewest possible members beside
the field during game play: they will usually be the captain and an assistant
team member.
Dimension of field:-
The playing-field is 240 cm by 240 cm. The field is
marked by a white line which is part of the playing field.
Goal-size:-
The field has two goals. The goal inner space
is 60 cm width, 20 cm high and 20cm deep, box shaped. It has a cross-bar on top
(to prevent robots from entering the goal and to allow checking if the ball
scored).
Dimension of robot:-
1 -The dimensions of both the robots at any
point of time in the game should fit in a box of (25cmx20cmx20cm.)
2-The weight of the robot should not exceed 5
kgs.
3-The remote control (wireless/wired),
battery all of which will be included in the weight.
4-The potential difference between any points
in the robots and the remote should not exceed 12V at any point of the match.
5-
Both wired and wireless robots are allowed.
6-In case of wireless robots, each robot must
be able to support dual frequency so that there is no interference with the
opponent’s robots.
7-In the case of wired control, the
participants must ensure that the wires out of a pole of height at least 30cm.
The height of the pole is not counted during dimension check. The wire must be
slack at all points of the match.
8-The robots may not hold the ball while
moving. Dribbler mechanisms can be used.
The ball can be dribbled and hit from any part of the robot.
9:- The length of wire in wired robot, Minimum
5m.
BALL
Rubber and plastic balls will be used during
matches.
Games and Matches
The
game is similar to normal football tournaments.
1-
Depending on the no. of teams, league groups will be made and knockout will be
played . Top 4 teams will qualify for semis.
2-Each
match lasts for 8 minutes (10min from semis).Two halves of 4 minutes (5 min
from semis).
3-The
kick off is decided by coin toss.
4-In the second half the other team will be
allowed to take the first kick.
Scoring:
1-The
scoring is similar to normal football game.
2-The
team which scores maximum number of goals by the end of full time is considered
as winner for that particular game.
3-
If a goal is hit, the match resumes with the ball at the start position of the
team which gave away the goal. For example, if blue team scores, the match
resumes with ball at red team’s Start position.
4- In case of a tie, there will be a penalty shootout.
5-If both the robots are locked together for one minute
then match will be paused and referee will separate both the robots and game
will resume again.
